See that blank area above? That represents my credentials.

That’s right. I don’t have any. At least not in the usual sense of the word.

My credentials are limited to experience, and experience alone. I have had no formal education in medicine or psychology and, in fact, my college “career” consists mostly of creative writing and (occasionally) computer coding classes. I’m also a wife, a mother, a writer, an artist, a photographer and a cat-lover. I have spent innumerable hours in the offices of psychologists and psychiatrists and have tested dozens of medications and treatments as a patient. I am well-versed in the vernacular of the profession and I have a pretty good grip on what works for me and what does not work for me. But make no mistake. I am not a doctor or a nurse or even a nurse-maid. I’m just a person with some experience and a great deal of faith that what I have to offer can help people.

I humbly ask that you give me a chance, and consider what I have to say. But whether you take it or leave it is up to you and you alone.
